Wonderful colours and contrasts from Giddy Yarns, based in Dundee. These mighty sock sets have a whopping 120g total yarn weight, making these ideal for socks of all sizes, or shawls with gorgeous contrast rows.

Each main 100g skein is paired with a 20g contrast skein - use this contrast to add stripes, or make contrasting heels, toes and cuffs on your sock. Or use the contrast to edge a shawl, finish a baby garment knitted with the larger skein as the main shade….the possibilities are endless!

The yarn is made up of 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon, and has a generous 425m per 100g skein, and 85m in the 20g contrast - making a total of 500+ m per pair. It feels beautifully soft in the skein, and the yarn is fairly tightly spun meaning your socks should last well, esp if you handwash them to prolong their life.

Use with 2.25-2.75mm needles for socks, and 3.75-4.5mm needles for shawls. Knits as 3 ply.
